"We recommend that Zero should be exiled from the country," Suzaku tells you, voice too careful and bearing too stiff to make you think he approves of the officials' decision.

You nod, adjusting your grip on the candle in your hands. "I suppose I can't forgive all his sins myself, can I." You almost wish you were strong enough. But in the end, all you can do is focus on what you can do.

"Here," you say, offering the candle. "I've written Euphy's name properly, haven't I?"

Suzaku takes it, the gentle splash of the candle through the water letting you know he's placed it with the others. "Euphy... We'll continue your work, moving towards a peaceful world." There is a pause; fading surprise. "It...seems someone else has remembered Euphy today."

"Someone other than us... Wonderful." And you can't help but feel a warm curl of relief and hope that he's still out there--he's okay.
